Some people are limited by the physical holding patterns or dissociation from their body, and miss the aliveness or somatic cues for truly knowing what they feel and want. When we work with “waking up” and tracking our physical sensations with breathing and changing posture, we get a bigger picture of how we are organized and how the new choices we are making actually feel. It’s like wearing a new pathway in our system instead of following the same old groove; when we get a “felt sense” of the changes anchored in our body.
